One of the most important things to keep in mind when you are a Frenchie parent is knowing they are a highly sensitive breed. I’m not just talking about their emotions, Frenchies are the most emotional dogs ever! I am referring to their skin. Most Frenchie owners discuss some sort of skin allergy their dog has. With that said, here are a few of my favorite Frenchie bathing supplies.

Food

Frenchies are known for having a hard time with their digestion and some even have allergies to certain foods. Many Frenchie parents give them raw diets, and on occasion, I will too. The best food brand that I like to give my Frenchie is “taste of the wild.”

Taste of the Wild is the food my breeder sent my Frenchie home with, and I feed it to him today. I love the U.S.-based brand because they have real ingredients and many flavors to choose from. Every other month when it’s time to switch up my dog’s food, he gets a new flavor and he really loves it! There are also options for cat food, canned, and options for puppies.

SUPPLIMENTS

WATER ADDITIVES

My friend got me into this water additive. You essentially squirt some Tropiclean Oral Care Water additive into your Frenchie’s water bowl and it is like a tasteless mouthwash. Not only does it give them fresh breath, but it also acts as an agent to fight off plaque. I love this brand because again, it’s made in the U.S.A, and is made with all-natural ingredients.

Outings

Some Frenchies hate walks, others love them! Going to the park or on hikes can be tiring, and even just being out in the sun can be dangerous for Frenchies who can’t breathe well. Remember to keep your Frenchie hydrated and shaded on hot days while out and about.

Training
