Take a look at this unique racing birthday party for my friend’s son who just turned two! Here are some inspiration photos for those of you who want to throw a theme like this for your kids. The final result was so creative and colorful, I have to share!
Dessert Table
A simple concept that the kids love. You need rings and tall bottles of any kind. My friend’s mom decorated a little by adding tied ribbons to the top of each bottle. There were 6 total bottles in the crate and 6 rings.

treat cups
Trays with cups of candy, checkered flags, and little trophies are on display for the kids to grab.
Racing Backdrop
My friend purchased a personalized backdrop, but I found a similar backdrop from amazon, a banner stand, and these clamps for the racing backdrop.
With the 9″ balloons, we love the look of it. The balloons are from amazon and we used this electric balloon pump to blow them up. There is a special balloon arch strip to make this balloon arch a simple and fun project.

Rice Crispie traffic lights
Simple recipe. You can either purchase rice crispy treats or make them yourself. Then grab red, yellow, and green M&M’s. You place them Red, Yellow, then green face down so you don’t see the logo.

number 2 birthday cake
My friend’s friend made this cake for her son, and it came out so cool! I will say, black frosting is very noticeable on teeth, so keep that in mind if you decide to make a cake like this. It is a simple, yet effective concept that really is a show stopper!
Racing Party Bags
You can purchase these racing party bags on amazon, and fill them with racing party theme goodies. They really complete the look of the themed table.
