A stylish bohemian twin baby shower for my friend who is pregnant! Props to her mom who brought everything we needed and has a special talent for throwing beautiful partiers. The final result was so beautiful I have to share! Let me know your thoughts by leaving a comment below.
Twin Baby Shower Entry Table
Our entry table consists of 2 books for guests to sign, a diaper raffle sign up, a sock hunt game, and favors to take home.
The mini champagne bottles and mini apple cider bottles from our local grocery store are so cute! The tags read, ” Pop and Cheer when the boys are here! Pilato Twins Due March 2021″. They were made using Microsoft word and I manually cut them out into circle shapes and used a mini hole punch and very small twine to tie around each bottle.
We had two books (one for each baby) for guests to sign. The sign reads: “Guest Books – Pick a page & leave a note or simply sign your name. These books will be a memory of all the guests who came. The gold frames are 6×4 inches and are from the dollar tree
A diaper raffle cigar box with matching “tickets” both made using Microsoft word. The sign says, “Diaper Raffle – Did you bring diapers? Write your name on a card and put it in the box. 1 Ticket per pack”. The size of the sign is 6×4.
Sweets
Some sweets were homemade and others were store-bought, but the table came out beautifully. The sign is burlap with construction paper letters cut out using my Cricut Air 2. We used twine to tie them all together. We added some flowers in vases, and a fake eucalyptus vine, and a burlap table runner from the dollar tree.
Italian Lemon Cookies
My friend’s grandmother made her beautiful Italian lemon cookies. You can find the recipe in any Italian cookbook, or you can watch the video below on how to make them. Need more cookie options? How about our fan-favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe?
Chocolate Covered Strawberries
One of the guests ordered these beautifully decorated chocolate covered strawberries from a small business nearby. They delivered the strawberries on these cupcake displays. They were a huge hit at the party.
Mini Bundt Cakes
A guest ordered mini bundt cakes from a bakery called Nothing Bundt Cakes. It is just a fancier version of your typical cupcakes. Since we wanted a self-serve atmosphere, these are always a better option than your typical large cake you have to cut.
Magic Cookie Bars
A magic cookie bar is a 7 layer sweet treat. The layers include graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, Sweetened Condensed Milk, butterscotch chips, semi-sweet chocolate chips, flaked coconut, and chopped nuts. For the full recipe, you can click here.
Twin Baby Shower Gift Table
Since we thought it would rain, we used my backdrop from amazon and backdrop banner stand, and these clamps for the gifts table and we love the look of it. The balloons are from amazon and we used this electric balloon pump to blow them up. There is a special balloon arch strip to make this balloon arch a simple and fun project. During gifts we played a fun game of twin baby shower trivia.
Drinks
We chose to go with some fancy waters and my favorite tropical sangria recipe. We also had mimosas available, as well as sparkling water.
Simple Table Decor
We found baby blocks at the dollar tree, some burlap chargers for the flower vases to rest on and tied burlap ribbon around each vase.
Food
My friend’s mother prepared all of the food and she made it look very impressive. The all-natural style is accomplished with the wood trays, white cake stands, baskets, and lots of greenery to encompass the bohemian look. Interested in my kitchen transformation? Click here!
Mini Ham and Cheese Croissants
We ordered mini croissants from a local bakery, sliced them, and inserted ham and swiss cheese with a poked toothpick to keep them together. As an option, you can heat them in the oven or crockpot at a low temp to melt the cheese and serve warm.
Cucumber Tea Sandwiches
Traditional cucumber tea sandwiches include thinly sliced cucumbers, chives, and cream cheese on a white loaf of bread cut into triangles.
Spinach Salad
Includes tossed spinach, strawberries, raisins, blueberries, walnuts, feta cheese, and a light vinaigrette.
Torpedo Sandwiches
We ordered 10 torpedo sandwiches from a local sandwich shop and cut them into 3rds.
Ingredients include Italian mortadella, ham, salami, provolone cheese, peperoncini & crisp lettuce in a french roll.
Fruit Tray
Includes green grapes, red grapes, strawberries, mango, pineapple, blueberries, cantelope, melon, kiwi, and watermelon.
In Conclusion
The twin baby shower was beautiful and everyone loved the simple, natural look. We stayed away from the blues and the pinks to keep the style rustic and modern. All-in-all it was so fun to host and I would recommend doing it for any of your friends.
