How to have an epic Cabo bachelorette party

Prepare Your Guests

A few tips I learned while on a Cabo bachelorette trip with girls…

Send out an itinerary

  • An itinerary is perfect for a long trip. I made this disco-themed itinerary using Canva. https://www.canva.com/join/mkf-fxb-pyj

  • Bachelorette guests need to know what is going on and an estimated cost so we can plan our outfits, and budget accordingly.
  • It is a good idea to include estimated costs in your itinerary as to get a feel for how much the total will be for the entire trip.
  • Adjustments will be made!

Set Cost expectations

  • We decided before the trip to just put everything on the Bride’s credit card so she could get points.
  • We took a photo of the receipt and split the cost between the girls and Venmo or Zelle our contribution at the end of the trip.
  • No, we did not go through the receipts to see who ate what meal and who bought what drink. It didn’t matter, we knew the cost was going to be split evenly.

There may be a “dress code”

  • Make it clear, if the bride wants… No one is to wear white or ivory at any point during the trip.
  • We had a “fancy night” where we dressed in our most glamorous outfits.
  • On the boat, we all wore black bikinis and the bride wore a white one.
  • One night we wore our assigned color from head to toe.

Keep the bride involved in almost everything. This is for her.

  • Some brides like to be surprised, but it is not up to you what to keep from her.
  • Let the bride tell you what she doesn’t want to know.
  • Also, make sure you get a clear list of all the bride’s MUST-HAVES & DO NOTS as everyone is different.

My Carry On Packing List

Pick a Theme

The bride chose the theme of disco meets bach a boujee. This leaves room for interpretation. The Airbnb was open and spacious with a beautiful view and an infinity pool.

I was tasked with the decorations! We chose a plethora of metallic balloons, disco ball balloons, and star balloons. A black sequin backdrop and rose gold photo props set the tone for the trip.

For the pool, we simply purchased a ring floatie, sparkle heart floaties, and pink koozies.

Rent the Perfect Spot

For a Cabo bachelorette party, there are two obvious possibilities. You can choose a resort like the Waldorf Astoria, or you can rent a Cabo bachelorette Airbnb, but if you are wondering about safety, look to Pedregal.

Pedregal is a private and heavily gated community mostly made up of luxury rental properties. It is very safe and the views of the marina are spectacular from almost every home. All the properties are built on a mountainside high above the city below. This Cabo community is quite unique in that the homes don’t have numbers, but rather names. For example, we stayed in la casa de los gatos.

Get a Boat

cabo bachelorette boat

No Cabo bachelorette party is complete without getting on a boat and sailing all day! Take tons of photos, dance, and just enjoy the open ocean. The boat was a highlight of the trip and we were well taken care of by the crew. Alcohol and snacks were included in our 4-hour ride.

Don't forget your...

Places to Eat

We had dinner plans every night of our stay, which range from fancy pre-set menus to a gourmet taco guy coming to the villa! We spared no expense on the food. Here are my thoughts on the places we ate.

Lunch at Bagatelle

Bagatelle is so beautiful! This restaurant/day club should be at the top of your list for a day spot if you are in the mood for a gourmet lunch.

Reserve your table for 12:30 PM and ask for a table outside. You will get great seats before the tunes really kick up. Prepare to dance on top of your table (the waiters encourage you), and take tons of photos. There are plenty of places to get a perfect shot. When you are done, you can walk straight onto the beach to the next bar!

DINNER AT EDITH'S

Edith’s is a great indoor restaurant to grab dinner after a day on the beach since it is only one block from the beach bars like The Office and Mango Deck. Edith’s is open daily from 5 pm – 10 pm. There is no need to get fancy. It is a typical Mexican restaurant with excellent steak options. Oh, and their margaritas are huge!

Maria Corona Dinner and a Show

This immersive experience is both unique and exciting. For dinner, we chose the “family style” option which was perfect for our group because when the food came out we all could just dig in and share the foodie experience together.

The restaurant is outside, and on stage, they put on a show of traditional Mexican dances. The dancers also walk around to take photos with guests. Bring cash for tips!

lalos tacos catering

Why not have the food come to you!? Lalos Tacos brings all their own ingredients, and sets up a beautiful display of their delicious homemade tacos. They serve chicken, pork (his mother’s recipe), and Carne tacos. The sides are rice, beans, corn, a plethora of sauces, and fresh chips and salsa.

They have options for per-person drinks or an open bar which I highly recommend doing. Their cucumber mint margaritas are so good.

Romeo y Julieta

Not feeling like Mexican food every single night? This Italian spot looks excellent! We did not eat here, but if we had more time, I’m sure we would have loved it! If you happen to try this place, let me know your review.

Beach Bars

The beach bars are all situated in one location so it’s easy to bounce back and forth. The bars have music, pushup competitions, and great food! There are tons of beach vendors who wait at the door to bombard you with a variety of selections from naughty headbands to jewelery for purchase.
